I still want a good, immersive Vietnam game. So much potential there... I kind of hope that Treyarc does it for COD7.

I find it rather funny really. I have always supported Treyarch the entire way through and stood by whilst people put them down for not creating a "real" CoD and stood by their precious Infinity Ward who as we have heard now, really dont give the first **** about the PC market or its gamers that got it where it is now.

Treyarch will be the CoD series of the future on PC and personally im VERY pleased about it.

I've said before, im not sure if treyarch are on our side either. Just because they have given us 3 sets of DLC doesnt mean they think highly of us.

Maybe they gave them free because its harder and pointless to charge us when we get modded maps free, Maybe they pity us because they give support to the other platforms, or maybe you are right, but they have only released ONE game I know of on PC, the other was a console exclusive. I think its too early to tell.

I completely agree with you but i still personally hold higher hope for CoD games produced by Treyarch in the future, you cant deny the fact they have produced a brilliant game that plenty find to be more fun than CoD4, along with actual community feedback and support.

If they dont particularly like the PC either, they have a funny way of showing it.

I'm willing to bet that the CoD5 sales were spread more evenly among the platforms, while CoD4 sold a ridiculous number of xbox copies and ps3/pc ended up in the shadow a bit. Seriously, 360 fans treat it like the second coming of christ. Therefore IW has a extremely large player base on the xbox and of course they'll cater the most to their largest userbase.

They haven't really let us PC players down in any way so I'm not feeling anything special towards them... but of course they could spend a little bit more time on getting the pc port right.

                f*** consoles

I'm sick of PCs being ignored and nerfed for consoles which are cheap, and you can't mod. You can't do nearly half the things on a console that you can on a PC. Why is it consoles are so popular? Who even wants to use a controller? Sorry console fans, this is my view and you don't have to agree with it, just don't flame me like an immature child.

I find it odd that people just tend to ignore figures. Remember, COD4 on consoles outsold the PC version 9 to 1. By the time COD4 sold 1M units on PC, it had already sold 9 on both consoles combined. Its really nice to flame a company for doing smart financial decisions, while providing an excellent game.

Because were not talking about Ubisuck and their cheap and horrendous, insulting, poor ports. Were talking about a developer which games have been superb, have not let anyone down, and is now hated by PC "fanboys" (not to be mistaken for PC gamers) who just hate the boxes which you can put under your TV.

I thought CoD2 was a pretty big letdown, especially after having played UO.

Re: Activision Did Not Want Modern Warfare

Ive been searching for a few days for the article, but there is just too much information about CoD4 out there and its buried deep.....

BUT, there was an interview a few years ago about this and how IW went to activision from the begnining to make a modern shooter. Activision said to make me a WW2 one instead. So they made the first CoD. Updates and expansions later, activision wanted another WW2 game but IW said no. Activision wanting the game promised IW they would be allowed to make a modern game. Thus, IW made CoD2.

Does anyone remember this interview or can post a link of it? I know its out there.

I see. So youre saying that COD2 is a terrible and bad game, just so you could once more have a jab at IW for not catering to you exclusively?

No, I think he means just compared to Cod: UO. A lot of people who played it were dissappointed by CoD2

CoD2 was a let down for me also, i loved UO but CoD2 just didnt feel anywhere near as good.

I am surprised that many of us are surprised!!!! Companies just "follow the money".

Sales dictate everything. If PC sales were higher (like the 9 to 1 ratio), Consoles would suffer the same fate.

Besides after what I have been reading abut the "other 2 recent military games"....it looks like MW2 may set the bar a little higher again!!!
