Yeah, but we could do that anyway. If I have to alt-tab and cant join friends through steam, it defeats the purpose.

Hopefully they will come up with a way to include retail owners.

Especially for folks who already own everything.

that's such a rip off. $30? should be $20 at most. bf2 by ifself is only $10. that's $20 for SF?!

It's like that for any game... you can buy Call of Duty for 20€ on Steam, while I bought it for like 8€ in a sales bin at the supermarket where I live.

They have other versions of BF2 that they could have put on Steam. Like... BF2 original, or the pack that included both BF2 and SF. They don't need to be selling the complete collection.

But, that's how the business works. It's how they make their money.

We don't know if they're actually charging for the expansion packs or if they just use the name to avoid confusion (ie complete collection)

They never made it so the older copies of Quake Wars : Enemy Territory would work. Only the newer copies did. So, I kinda think it is not going to happen for those of us who bought all the boosters, expansions and original. But, when I have $30 burning a hole, I'll get it.

Now, if only Blizzard would finally get on the Steam wagon for SC2 !!!! (yeah, I know that will never happen).

I think they need to throw original owners a bone here, I mean anyone who played BF2 from the start has gone through hell for their love of this game. Now they want us to pay $30 bucks to rebuy all that we already spend on this game.

It took a bad cable modem to make me go cold turkey and help kick my 6 hour a day habit even through bad patches. Only thing that got me to fall of the wagon was COD4MW.

...You already got the boosters with the complete collection Alex, they sell instores for around $20 and pre 1.5 came with all add-ons and boosters.

I didn't, I never bought the complete edition, neither did early adopters
