CoD: Modern Warfare 2 Delayed for PC!

In a move that'll probably summon the 4 horsemen of the PC gaming apocalypse, Infinity Ward has decided to delay the PC version on Modern Warfare 2. The revised release date is now the 24th of November.

No official reason has been given for the delay yet, so it could be to do with anything from last minute bug fixes, production issues or even to counter piracy. Expect to hear soon enough though, so keep your eyes on TGN for the latest news.

Update:

Whilst trying to track down the original source of the rumour, it seems that a games release schedule from Activision is to blame. This document is a road map of their upcoming software releases and on the latest one, MW2 for PC is listed as being 24/10/2009.

Still no official word from IW and their forums are Esplodin real good. Cant say i didnt expect this after the rudedog interview.

I would be surprised if anyone on these forums were surprised by this.

Anyone surprised? I mean there has been almost NO PC talk and the rumors of not having server files ready going around and all that.

I do hope this means that Dedicated Server Files and Mod tools will now ship with the PC version.

Nice job IW - you've not only managed to make a game that requires no more skill skill than what is required to shove colored blocks into the right hole, but you've now delayed the game for many die-hard fans with no reasoning.

I looked through a few sites and there has been nothing "official" mentioned from IW or 402.

As of right now this seems to be a rumor spreading through a few websites. Maybe leaked news, maybe nothing.

It could well be wrong as there are no official announcements, however we are just hear to report the news and we wouldn't be doing a very good job if we missed this big story!

EDIT: The story seems to have come from the official Activision games release schedule (this states the release dates for all their games). It shows PC version of MW2 coming on the 24th.
