The guys over at Battle.no have teamed up with DICE and made a great little movie showcasing the history of Battlefield 2 patching, from its humble beginnings with Wake Island 2007 to the upcoming 2-gigabyte booster pack extravaganza. Grab your popcorn and prepare for tomorrow's patch release by looking back at the history of our favorite first-person shooter:

In cooperation with EA DICE we made this movie to illustrate the changes from release of the PC FPS Battlefield 2 in 2005 to the 1.5 patch in 2009.

Some facts:
- Battlefield 2 is updated 11 times
- It has more than 2 million players
- Support for 64 players online

- It took us more than four months to make this video!

Four Months, I just dont see it. Nothing special.........looks like it was done over a few days. Very plain and tells us very basic stuff. Pity they could not have made a film on the new patch showing Air to Air or something.

But hay thanks anyway.

Cant wait not played Bf2 in about a year or more, hated Hero’s power ups so willl get rid of it now…….Yes……..This will do till my new System next year, it will still play on my old 2005 System.

Boy, they choose to look on the rosy side of life, what about hotfixes for patches.

About the only really good thing they removed was squad jumping, seriously slowed down the game play and killed team work. By teamwork I meant, before then random people would create squads and actively switch leasers without having to be in a clan, after about the only active squads that stuck together were clans.

*Booster packs. SF will not be included.

And no, there won't be a lite version of the 1.5 patch without the boosters.

Too bad this video doesn't mention anything about all the bugs introduced with every patch. I know I already sound like a **** without really meaning to, but this video stinks like a fox news report.

This is where it all started for me.

This game has brought me joys and tears for so many years What a great game. This truly is epic.

BTW it's still the 6th most played game according to xfire.
