If people followed the "Rated T for Teen" or MA 15+ ratings, PR AND BF2 would be a lot better.

The principle of PR is sound, but the experimental results aren't, with all the morons crashing 20-minute-spawn planes. Avoid the morons and you're OK.

I had an extremely negative experience in nearly every PR server I tried for several weeks and never went back. :ahhhhh: Ask a simple question and people refuse to answer as if there's a secret code that must be entered before the information is released. Or you get the ever popular "read the manual" answer. Well, I did, and I forgot what to do here.

Then if you make a mistake (that you could have avoided had they taken 10 seconds to answer the question) you're insulted over type and voice chat and eventually kicked if you're lucky enough not to be banned. :icon_banned::shakehead: I'm an experience BF2 player and I have no problem following orders, but yet I was still treated very poorly while I was trying to learn the mod. No learning curve allowed apparently.

The community in any game makes a huge difference. CS hackers were mentioned and though not every server contains hackers, there are enough to spoil the experience, causing many to uninstall the game. Same with PR for me. Not regarding hackers, but player attitude in general to those who are just trying to learn the game. You guys here that love the mod must be the exception to the rule in my experience.

I belive you have just had a bunch of bad experiences and maybe playing at the wrong time of day too.

Post on the PR forums and ask for help with getting into the game and I'm sure a bunch of good, helpful players will help :)

Appreciate the response. I'm hesitant to do so because the little time I do have to play I just want have fun. PR sounds a bit too intense the way most people play it.

ye if you play PR you want to be playing it for a good few hrs at a time. Can't simply hop on for a 10min round you simply can't get the full experience that way since you can spend that long just preparing to attack a flag in some really intense games :)

I got a ban from a server that lasted 20 weeks for not replying "Roger" when my SL told me to stay put. I said "OK" instead. Then he was like "NOOO THIS IS PROPER MILITARY SON" and banned me.

So yeh. Just a teency weency bit too serious on the player front.

not heard of that one before but you get ****ty ingame admins everywhere, I mean how often do you see admins in vBF2 kicking for just taking "his jet/chopper" when you had been waiting there for it? :p
