CoD:WaW - Map Pack 3 tops 1 Million!

Once again, another map pack for CoD:WaW has been very successful. Map pack 3 for CoD:WaW has already reached 1 million downloads and that doesn't even count once the PC ones that will eventually happen. These DLC map packs are huge on the consoles not to mention the amount downloaded for free by PC users. Read more below:

Thanks to the support and dedication from all our fans, we’re happy to announce that the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 3 has sold over 1 Million downloads in its very first weekend of availability!

This milestone brings our total Map Pack download count to over 6.5 Million combined downloads of Map Packs 1, 2, and 3 on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Everyone at Treyarch is proud and humbled to see the community really digging CoD:WaW’s downloadable content, and enjoy playing with you guys each and every night!

Oh, it's too easy for them to sell this much. It's all due to the way they've set up map rotations in multiplayer. People try to play, and they're kicked once a new map comes up. They want to keep playing with their friends. So they HAVE to buy the map packs, because there is no option to only join servers with only certain maps. It's either buy the map packs or get kicked constantly and have your $60 game turn into a frustrating worthless piece of schisse.

once reason i like some games on pc


i like playing halo 3 (im not a halo addict, i enjoy play here and there) but to play ANYTHING other than social slayer, i would have to buy map packs which i find to be very stupid.

if you are going to release a game with good online multiplayer, you should not force someone to have to pay $ for a map map or extra content to be able to play the game.

Thankfully i am a PC-gamer and can play on our own clanserver with the settings and (free)maps we want!

I'm a PC gamer as well, and this is one of the main reasons I refuse to play FPS games on consoles. Console gamers don't get to pick which server they join, matchmaking chooses for them. So they get stuck in games with South Americans and Asians and other people that have horrible pings from North America. And I'm pretty sure it tries to put them in rooms with people who have the map packs so they get kicked every time. From what my console friends tell me, just about every time they start a game with one of the map pack maps 2 or 3 people disappear from the room.
