Team Fortress 2 Soldier Update Leaked

An attentive reader of the Team Fortress 2 blog managed to catch a glimpse of a post made about the next class update coming to the game. It would appear that the Soldier is next in line for an upgrade:

Just as out of the blue it had appeared, back into the blue it went with the post being taken down.

So what are we looking at?

• New Unlockables
• Soldier achievements
• Item Trading (Now tell us that those Item Levels were a bug)
• Tweaks to random item drops
• New game mode, King Of The Hill
• New maps
• Hotfixes and "Fairly Major" changes to the game.

Sneaky sneaky Valve playing with us like you do, was that really an accident? One thing's for sure, 'Today is a good day!'

I had my money on the Engy being next being that the Soldier was always considered to be quite an overpowered/noobish class much like the demo.

That's said about all the class updates, nub rush of Scouts, nub rush of Medics etc.

The nub rush of Demos will be hell though.

Well it got de-noobed slightly when they took away half the ammo. All of a sudden we had to play intelligently. The soldier is easy to learn, difficult to master.

Well at least I've been second guessing myself lately, and haven't been deleting all of the repeat weapons I'm getting.

I hope it is not another 'stun' weapon like the scout has. The 'shock and awe' sounds like a stunzooka. Or perhaps it will dizzy the enemy? Whatever it does, it sounds like more of a 'support' role.
