You can see the ir lights on the front. Its g1 night vision. It sends a beam of ir light and the lense picks it up

I would predict this verion will be about 80 bucks

Its the same tech as night vision webcams

And this has nothing to do with development. This is just marketing

I think low quality night vision stuff starts at around $300. They probably just have green lenses with a light attached or something.

The Hardened/Prestige Edition case is Badass, like the fact that Call Of duty isnt on there.

Yeah exactly... If they are and at commercial outdoor quality (not some cheap plastic thing) then expect to pay no less than £200 for this. Bloody stupid idea.

The NVG's look badass, even if they dont work that well I would still wear them randomly for the sake of it. This is the only collectors edition of any game that I have ever considered buying. But I agree, the price range is going to be insane and not really appeal to anybody other than hardcore fanboys/other marketing ploys.

The most I've ever paid for a video game is $70 for Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault Directors Edition. I am not surprised of the 150 price tag as that is what GH sells for I think.

Wow...this is hilarious! I guessed the price tag before seeing it though, woot.

Okay, I see why they were advertising this for the console crowd (not to offend anyone, I own a console also), but unless you're like 12, when the hell are you going to use NVG that go 50 feet?!?! And for what purpose?

News update, Nov 10th, 2009: This just in, on this very night, the rate of peeping Tom's in neighborhoods across the world have increased ten-fold. :laugh:

Nice NVG have their uses obviously, but say for hunting, 50 ft won't do much.

I will be sticking with my original Pre-Order of the standard edition. Plus, I consider it a benefit or exclusive that is has Call of Duty on it. I will be buying the next Call of Duty.
