Battlefield 1943 on 1UP's Game Night - Video Posted

In just a few hours (5-6PM PST, 8-9PM EST), Battlefield 1943 will be featured on 1UP's weekly Game Night show. Here is some more info on the event:

On this week's Game Night, we're playing Battlefield 1943, a team-based shooter set during World War 2, and the update to the classic Battlefield 1942. Even though EA released Battlefield 1942 over 10 years ago, the community remains active -- a dedicated fanbase still supports the game by regularly creating new mods and additions. Stay tuned at 5 p.m. PST Tuesday when we play Battlefield 1943 in a live stream and discuss the additions EA made to the gameplay, including a smaller cast, the ticket system, and new maps. And while watching the live stream, post your comments or questions on 1UP's messageboards or Game Night's Twitter account. Look for the recorded version of Game Night on GameVideos on Wednesday!

So be sure to get your questions in and check in on this website in a few hours to watch Battlefield 1943 in action. We will post up the recorded video tomorrow when it becomes available.

Looks really solid, will definitely pick this up if it's adapted for PC in a good way

agreed, i watched it and enjoyed how it played, still kinda eh on the ammo recharge thing. i think it should have just used what Bad company did, have them ammo box things at bases and control points.

now snipers can just sit and camp and not worry about loosing ammo and crap like that.

the health ill probably get used to being that cod does it.

im buying this for xbox 360 the moment it comes out. once its out for pc ill probably be living on it for pc lol

Am I the only one who thought the trees being destroyed looked really unnatural?

Pretty much like in BC1, but yeah sometimes the tress break in odd ways, while sometimes it looks pretty good. It's hard to make detailed physics for a console game I guess, damn hardware restrictions.

Also it seems like you have a lot of sprint, if not unlimited, then at least a lot for the smg class.

I hope they stress test the servers b/c as soon as it comes out there is gonna be alot of people trying to download it and play it.

What i didnt like:
-Driving through the trees the instant they collapse
-How it seems the trees don't have any resistance against tanks
-When tanks drive over the remains of buildings it drives through the walls
-When the bombers got shot they vanished, WTF?!

What i liked:
Everything but that up there^^

What the hell?:
Theres a point where the dude says "We are adding squad systems to the battlefield franchise"
and then the way he described it, made it sound he like BF2/142 never existed.

If the following features are in the PC version, I will not be purchasing it:

- 3rd person cross hairs for vehicles
- The giant red circles around enemy planes and an icon showing were they are, this takes all the skill out of flying and based on this I will not buy the game unless it is taken out for PC.

I thought the destructible environment was also very poorly designed, after 4 minutes in game there wont be any buildings left and after about 9 or 10 minutes no more trees. But that wont keep me from the game alone.

I also did not like the way the fire looks, kind of cartoony.

I did not like the way the bombers were destroyed, hopefully these are things that will be changed for the final version.

Above all that, it looked descent...

And above all the things about the game, I hated the people playing the game, you can tell they know nothing about the real battlefield series - "they have to incorporate sitting on planes wings since it was such a huge part of battlefield heroes".... dumb ****s
