Modern Warfare 2 Co-Op Special Forces

In a recent interview with VideoGamer.com, we are told that there will be a specific co-op mode in Modern Warfare 2. As Robert Bowling from IW put it so politely, adding multiple players to a singleplayer mode would inevitably end in a "cluster****" . Here is what else he had to say:

Special Forces Mode is meant to be played over and over again. We don’t do co-op in our story because we're crafting a very specific experience and we don't want to ruin that by cramming co-op into it. We take the moments that work really well with co-op, we bring them out and we put them in Special Ops...It's about playing over and over again, getting a better time – you’ll have a time at the end of it – it's about challenging a friend going in on co-op and trying to beat it on veteran.

I think that sounds like an awesome idea, me and my buddies always used to compete on the obstacle course at the start COD4. Good fun.

Hopefully they make it splitscreen on the consoles, as none of my IRL friends play on PC.

I should pay more attention to the forums, as I had no idea Community Submissions also included news.

I hope the co-op is more fluid in MW2 than in COD:WaW. Meaning you choose what different maps you want to play from the lobby and then it loads each map in succesion of completion instead of having to go back to the lobby each time the map is over and choose another map and then load that map again like in COD:WaW.

I hope that makes sense lol.

X2.....I thought I was the only person to find this news lame. I had a blast playing co-op with a couple of my clanmates and was looking forward to doing the same thing in MW2.

Hit the word "Submit" under the Total CoD banner and you'll be good to go.

sounds cool but what they could do is that they have both the 2 player spec ops mode with different co-op maps (some from SP campaign and a couple not related) and then have a regular 4 person co-op through the campaign or vice versa
