I might think about buying it IF they remove the kill cam and not before

What I always loved about Battlefield games is the dependency on each other. The bonus of having multiple classes is that not one person can defeat all. Slowly but surely DICE seems to be taking this away which is a damn shame because it forces people to play strategically and as a team.

Auto healing, slow or fast, is something that belongs in a console shooter not on the PC. Thank you very much.

I disagree, I believe slow health regen will make each battle more exciting and even. Having to walk miles to find a medic... then for him not to throw medic bags was just awful...

Never happened to me as far as I can remember. But if you don't play in a squad and are always on your own why not be a medic yourself.

And the medicine cabinets from BF1942 worked well imo.

I think this is a great change due to a couple of reasons.

Medics are tanks in BF2. In terms of killing potential, reviving and constantly healing yourself and your team mates, you'd be silly to play as something else if you surely want to win an infantry only match, or a map like Jalalabad where you can avoid most vehicles. In 2142 this balance was improved, but medics are still by far the most powerful class, especially with PK rockets (shrugs)

A slow regen speeds up the game and doesn't make it completely dependent on medics. Instead of squads of 6 medics tanking infantry oriented maps, some more variety might be seen. Sure there are squads with a support or a sniper but overall they would be a lot more useful as a medic.

If resupply bunkers or similar was incorporated instead of a slow regen, all people would do is camp those and no one gets anywhere. It sort of works - but I like the idea of regen health better.

The problem of people dodging behind cover and then coming back up with full health isn't really a problem - you'd be dumb to just stay and wait for him to come out and without regen health he would most likely find a way to sneak away.

Well that is because you instaheal to 100% when you pick up a health pack. In BF1942 you would have had to switch to your medic bag and press the fire key to heal yourself (and others) gradually. You are not able to shoot when you're healing and healing is not instantaneous.

and besides... The Stalker games have slow regen and they are part of the dying breed that is PC exclusives

*side note* If you noticed i seem to be talking about the stalker games a lot lately

The Medic is a special breed of soldier, able to fight just as hard as their brothers in arms, but also dedicated healers.
Don`t tell me medic will be a super soldier again.

Sorta like Halo 3 regenerates health after a set ammount of time. I doubt it will regerate as quick as H3, or to full health even. On mod I played you had a bandage you could apply yourself to stop bleeding out. Then it only recovered you 25% of your total health, roughly. Think it was Project Reality?

Why do you want killcam removed, its not in BF2?

Not a terribly bad idea I guess, as long as the regen is very slow.

A few brief vids of BC2 multiplayer were released a couple of weeks ago, and there was a sort of kill cam in them.

Basically, after you are killed, the camera shifts to show you the front view of your killer, and follows him for a few seconds. So it sort of shows you what he's doing/where he's going, but unless you recognize the background, you won't know exactly where he is (ie. it's not the precise killcam from COD4/CODWW). I personally don't fear it, or think it's a big deal, but others really are opposed to it.
