Maybe I should hold out for BF3 instead of getting BC2. I dunno.
It will almost certainly be at least 1 full year between the release of BC2 and BF3, and more likely, 2 or more years. If you're craving a new BF fix, and want to try to mod Frostbite, go with BC2.
oh, I'm sure we are not going to see this till 2011. Remember how long we waited for BF2 to come out, after we first heard that something was in the works?
Even when it seemed like they were pretty far along, it was still 18 months till release. Everyone is going to get worked up for this title and it is going to be a long wait.
At least, with such a long wait, I can put $50 every month into an envelope, knowing that it will likely take the most cutting edge machine built to run the game. Might as well start saving now.
meh i think it will come out 2010, i guess theres a seperate team in dice whos focusing only on bf3 and that means theyv been crafting the game since 4 years, now thats something. that means we will have a really polished game:salute:

what are you talking about? BC2 is slated for this winter, BF3 is due spring/summer of next fiscal year. not a year or 2 in between but months.
I very, very, very, very mouch doubt BF3 will be released within months of BC2 lol.
I completely agree. That's a ton of potentially lost revenue if they do that (as the fanboys who would buy BC2 in the interim to have some BF title to play would rather save that money and buy BF3.
Once again, it was not mentioned by EA that its coming out in 2010. All they confirmed was that yes it exists and that it's being worked on. That its thats all folks.
No date range, aside from that its not coming out this Fiscal year. Does that mean its coming out immediately in the next fiscal year ? No, it doesn't.
And for those in the know , it typically takes around a year in total for the development/qa side of a game, then usually 4 months or so after Final they release it. So knowing how EA works, even if they had just started working on BF3 today (Which I know for a fact they did not) It would take approx 16 months for it to come out.
So take however long they have been working on it so far, and subtract that from 16 months (Approx) and you have your release date.
I have a feeling this has been in development for more than a year!people saying 2012:shakehead:,thats too far away for my interests and would make it 7 years,get real!
