There was no infantry on the Coral Sea from 1942, just planes

i dont know what you are talking about but i remeber opening bf1942 2 months ago and playing coral sea and taking the boats to the enemy air craft carrier and dropping heavy bombs on it. so what's your definition of infantry? also sniping people from their deck.

I thought this game wasn't going to have any stat tracking. How will anyone know how close the community is to 43M kills?

I dont think it will have personal stat tracking like BF2, just a global, i think it will record every kill but not by who against who, if that makes sense.


I might get this just for Coral Sea, seems rather interesting.

I wouldn't put any stock in this but i noticed IGN and a couple other sites now have the game coming out in Q3 for all platforms.

Didn´t Coral Sea have an island with anti-ship guns on it?

They have said since it announced they will have stats and ranks, but only for fun and not attached to unlocks or the like.

That's how BF2/2142 should've been. I didn't mind the ranks or awards, but I hated having to unlock equipment.

this video completely changed my opinion of what Battlefield 1932 is going to be (MAYBE). What I mean by this is that coral sea was no map for newbs in 1942, if you wanted to do good, you needed to know how to fly or man the flak.

But, when I say maybe, this also makes me kind of think that the flight controls might be a lot easier to use than before, which would really suck.

yes ranks add hacks or cause them to be more prevelant in the hunger for points and stature on the rank system.dont you agree?

Absolutely not. There is no correlation between hacks and presence of a ranking system. Hacks exist in many games without a ranking system, for example CSS.

Cheating is born out of either frustration to succeed or the desire to grief or cause other players misery. You rarely see people cheat in order to get an inflated score, if that were the case, they would stat pad and forgo the possibility of being banned. It's all about the power to annoy.
