Why would this be in the game? Time and time again I see this. The XM8 was tested by the US army, and they didn't like. Therefore, it has an X before the same.

So? many other games have the XM8 in them. Also only the US army baned it. H&K still make their own XM8.

no, in 2005 the XM8 was officially put on hold. I read somewhere that funds from a controversial war a couple of years back (not mentioning the name due to political reasons) consumed a lot of its funds, not that the americans didnt like them (though they might of)

like some of the weapons in the list. Im rather sick of the AK47, they should put a AK74m or AK100 series. well thats if there is anything to do with the russian army. Also, do you play as Mactavish or is he JUST the commander to you? I hope its the latter because I'm curious to see what he sounds like

The answer you seek is also in the article. :) This is like when CoD:WW had their article and people kept asking questions/making statements and their answers were in the article. Save Whiskey from having to quote everything and read it people, it was a good read.

BUT, in that beginning mission, Mactavish is leading you.

And I also gathered from that article that we'd get to use the riot shields in the co-op. More details will come out soon I imagine.

tbh, the AK-101 is pretty likely, just because a lot of games based in mordern day pick this rifle. Personallly, I don't care if it's 101 or 47, as long as it looks good and shoots straight I'm happy.

well thats what i dont like about the -47, it doesnt shoot straight unless youre right up against them. The 101 would only be used by non-russians, contrary to popular belief its only an export item

The AK47 is the ugliest Assault rifle but imo the best in CoD4 when it comes to just mowing people down... The M4 looks awesome shoots perfect at long range but just doesn't have the quick lock on feel the AK does =\

I hope the AK does come back or at least something similar both in feel and power.

Just one of a minority, most people preffer the AK because it is just sooo damn powerful.. Its accuracy is great for close to medium range but when you're shooting out to long ranges you're best off shooting in small bursts.

Also DON'T attach anything to the AK, no red dot, no acog, no silencer.. I find they all throw off its natural ability. Just practice with it, you will learn to love it trust me. I hated it when I first started using it too.

Also make sure you use stopping power and deep impact to really make it bite

thanks for the tip. i already heard the bad things that happen if you attach anything to it so im trying to use it unattacted.

Attachments on the AK?! :shock: NOOOO!
The RDS is bugged or something, and the silencer makes it recoil more! Oh and the ACOG, well that's not all bad tbh..


But yeah, I would like to see the AK in MW2 as i'm sure it will be.

There's always an AK variant in any first person shooters. I don't see why this game won't have it.
