Unemployed 3D Realms Developers Release Duke Nukem Forever Media

The recent news of the Duke Nukem Forever developers 3D Realms closure came as a shock to just about everyone including many of it's employees. Today three of those employees now out of work have released never before seen Duke Nukem Forever media in hope of finding work. Take a look:
    Art Director Trammell Issac

    "The end is the beginning

2 year 9 months, Now it's over. It was fun while it lasted. I worked with an extraordinary bunch of artists, designers, and programmers. You will all be missed. I know we will cross paths again.

I'm an Art Director looking for a great project/team/opportunity. I'm hopeful that I will land somewhere soon." View Issac's blog here.

    Concept Artist Layne Johnson

    "New Beginning

Well... 3d Realms has shut down and here I am.
Here's some of my work." View Johnson's blog here.

    Artist Chris Smith

Chris Smith's blog was taken offline, but the images were saved and can be viewed in the gallery below.

All the media above is previously unreleased by Take-Two or 3D Realms and reflects an unfinished product still in development.

With 3D Realms now no more and its employees now seeking employment do not be surprised to see more content like this released through unofficial channels.

I wonder what would have happened with 3DRealm if DNF would have been released.

That makes me wonder if that was the idea all along. Not making money, but they buy out 3DRealms and then they go into obscurity to slowly die away to the point that its time to shut the doors.

With all the publishers/developers involved in the history of 3DRealms and Apogee, it gets confusing what was really being worked on. Maybe they were just a one hit wonder with The Duke.
