Operation Peacekeeper Mod Update - New Visions

The Operation Peacekeeper mod team has recently posted a new update letting us know that they did not in fact quit the BF2 engine (an April's Fools joke said they did), and that they are back with some new media to showcase. Take a look:
Since the last news was released on 1st of April much time has passed that made us productive. Here are some updates. First of all the official all-clear: We don't change the engine of OPK. If we do it we will give you an official announcement which won't be released on april fools day. In the past months the OPK-Team had to manage many depths in the team. And unfortunately Jonathan has quit active work in OPK. We hope to see him on the servers!

But now to the update of the content: Today we present you some of DaWallece's Stuff. He has drawn some new targeting assistants (better known as HUDs). This is not only concerning the hand weapons M21, G36c and MP7, which were equipped with the EOtech optics, but also the Gazelle, Hind, Orao and Tiger that have now got original optics. Have a look at the New HUDs!

the problem is, that we have not enough players and no server in the states. and we dont know why :hmm:

every time some fans ask us about a server in usa, but if we organize a server in the states, the server is always empty

so we have give it up to organize a server in the states.

Grosskopf has any time tried to start a server with OPK,but there were no players, so he had give it up too.

thats too bad i think its a great mod.i just dont wont to get kicked for a high ping, its around 200.
also can you play this in single player? i tried just so i could get a feel for the game but it keeps crashing me to my desk top
i love the 80 rockets on the hind, reminds me of the old desert combat mod(1942)

We have some maps for singleplayer, but not all that you can play in multiplayer. and the singleplayer maps are smaller and without jets or helicopters, because we have some trouble with the ai that use the jets and helos without parachute. :wall: but we are still working on that problem.

we cant understand that there were not enough players in the states to start an OPK server to play. yes, thats bad.:|:

I'd play if there was a server in the US. I love the mod and have worked it into my personal SP minimod I play at home. If there was a real Battlefield community in the US where we could spend a couple of months playing a mod before moving on to another, I'd be extremely happy to locate it. We could rotate through OPK, AIX, WoOkie Sniper, PoE and some of the lesser known mods which are still fun, even if they are a little buggy.

                    I'm really showing my age...

It´s difficult to start an US OPK event from europe. But if somebody like to create one, we would announce it on OPKmod.com. That´s sure.
