Circle of Death: Battlefield 2 Edition

DICE's Gustav Halling has made a new post on his blog about a spoof of the Bad Company 2 trailer made by Noken from the well-known Snoken Productions group. Take a look:
My friend Marcus Johansson, more known as Noken have made the Bad Company 2 video in the BF2 engine, have a look!

Re: BC2 Trailer Made in BF2 Engine

Looks like a big old hint to me. Especially after the 40 player announcement. I like the video, especially the tank falling off the cliff and then the helo facing down the best AA in any BF game to date... static trees!!!

Most of the maps for BF2 that ran 64 players had in my opinion to many flags too spread out. So the flag to player ratio was actually pretty low. This is why they say you do not "need" 64 players. If they do 40 players with the max number of flags in play around 5... then that would give us a ratio of 4 players per team to a flag. That is still thin IMO but acceptable.

60 is the ideal with 5 flags MAX in play so you get 6 players per team per flag. That allows each flag to have a full squad attacking or defending. The issue with 64 players was more in how Dice designed the maps and flag points than it was with actually having 32 vs 32. Less flags, tighter combat areas, mixed combat styles on each map, and greater options for players/squads is what needed to happen and NEEDS to happen in any future BF title.

The larger maps were designed with the idea of 128 players, which later fell through once DICE realized they sucked too much to support 64, let alone 128.

This is just a remake/spoof by us at Snoken Productions, its not a trailer/teaser and it doesn't have anything do to with DICE. Just Snoken Stuff :)

Don't they have something more important to do than remaking BF2 trailers to make it look like the bad company 2 trailer, maybe like getting on with BC2 and 1943.
