Captiva Creations has released their highly anticipated machinima today for Battlefield 2 titled Desert Heat. Here's a bit of info from the movie description as well as a link to watch the video:

Our first machinima to be released. This movie was to begin with supposed to be a test project before we added voices and music to "the downed pilot conflict". I approached the AIX team in late November 2008, asking them if i could make a fan video of their new mod called AIX2. They were positive to this idea and helped me modify a map called "Greasy Mullet" to fit my needs for the movie.
The general idea for the movie is something i cooked up in about five minutes, and it was about a "heist" gone wrong. Two American marines is on a mission to steal middle eastern government secrets. After they have grabbed their "package" they are suppose to get to the rescue chopper undetected. But not everything goes as planned. And the marines are in the escape of their lives.
