if the development procedure is consoles and then 3 months latter its on PC then does this also apply to BC3 ? so does that mean BC3 in Q4 2009 for console and then Q1 2010 on PC ? A speculative question, following DICE's statement of their dev procedure.

This particular process is not how it is always done. Sometimes PC and Console releases will come out at the same time, depending on how they've been planned and how the dev cycle goes. In this particular case, the engine already exists on Console, so it takes a bit more work to make it run on PC. In addition, some believe that DICE is putting in some extra time in order to make the PC version more separate and distinct from Console, which is what PC users have complained about in the past with other games.

As for BF3. It hasn't been announced, and even only very thinly hinted at in some stray comments here and there, IF you read between the lines.

If/when BF3 comes, it won't be for quite some time. Definitely not by Q1 2010...that's when Bad Company 2 is coming out.

actually slight mistake on both of our parts there
I typed BC3, but meant BC2. the '3' may be my wishful thinking to have BF3

Yep, sorry about that.

To answer the question you meant...again, what 1943 does is not necessarily how BC2 will go. It's possible that PC could be delayed, especially if they intend to make the PC version of BC2 significantly different than the Console versions...however, Dice also have a lot more time before BC2 is released, so it's also possible that they will be able to line everything up for a simultaneous release. And they will have the "lessons" they learned from converting 1943 over to PC, so that will help make the transition of BC2 to PC easier/faster.

FYI - I think the last source I saw was a video interview with one of the higher-ups in DICE regarding BC2, and he stated that it would be coming in early 2010. So based on that, I wouldn't expect even the Console versions to come out this year.

I wouldn't even expect 1943 to hit September tbh, in a perfect world may be. Good luck though DICE *hears pitforks rustling in anticipation of delays*
