If they really took out dolphin diving I think my run with BF2 might finally be over. Movement is about all that matters in BF2 infantry since the netcode is pretty ****ty. Are ranked servers required to update?

I don't blame you. BF2 infantry pre-1.5 was all about abusing the movement system as much as possible.

It's a major change after 3 years, I'm not surprised if it makes some people angry.

have a logitech extreme3d pro joystick.were ever that ****ing falcon is at on my options i cant use on the joystick! roll,pitch,fire!its as if the "apply" button dosent work?i can apply my joystick controls but when ever i get in a game it puts that ****ing falcon settings back on!ive reset everything to default, deleted the secondary controls but nothing seems to work! can anyone help my ******* out?thanks

anyone running this on vista64?

my game crashes to desktop as soon as i start it, just a quick black screen and ctd.

I'm running Vista 64 and I'm having a lot of problems with the patch. When I connect to a server, It starts to load and then I'm booted back to the server viewer menu. Sometimes, I actually load up only to be booted back after clicking "join."

Fresh install, updated punkbuster, reinstalled patch, nothing works. I've heard others with similar problems. Any suggestions on how to fix?

"****ty netcode" is the oldest excuse in the book for bunny hoppers. Glad to see this patch affects them. Good riddance :)

That being said, there's a poll going on right now in the EAUK BF2 forum. Bazajaytee has said that they'll keep/reverse the prone delay change depending on the results of this poll. Go and join the discussion, DICE is listening.

A question: will DICE fix the Special Forces teargas shader that is not working since some Nvidia drivers versions ago?

This has been an issue since day dot.

Only advice if you don't like editing txt files is remove all possible conflicting entries from the controls settings, all control mapping if necessary. Starting most key maps from fresh or all key maps from fresh usually works [select > Esc].

Usually set Air controls first seems to work best.

Still doesn't work, hopefully DICE know about it : )

2 times I've jumped on a Blue pearl game lasted about 2 mins and booted to server menu like nothing ever happened. So that's what I think.

Are you connecting to a server local to you? Some servers kick if your ping is too high.

I cant even get the patch to install after it asks for permission i get nothing. And yes i am running it in Admin mode.

That happened with me too. I had to re-download it another copy and then it worked fine.

ya i never had prob till the new patch,i remapped all aircraft and helo controls[esc] but just doesnt seem to work.like you said"hopefully dice knows"but if they did why didnt they fix it in the 3 years it took them to come out with the patch lol STILL LOVE YA DICE! thanks old school for the feed back.appriciate it
