The first server running the Battlefield 2 1.50 beta on the new Operation Blue Pearl map is now up and running, so we can expect the beta patch to be released soon. The Game-Monitor status for the server indicates that it's running version 1.5.3114-802.0 of Battlefield 2.As DICE indicated on their BattlefieldHQ Twitter feed, you should be on the lookout tomorrow, April 21, for some more news about the beta patch. You can check out the patch changelog here so you know what to expect when it rolls in, weighing in at a whopping 1.16Gb. Okay, maybe smaller.

Re: First 1.50 Beta Server is Up
Well someone has to host the server and TV2 hosts some very well known and popular servers alreadyOriginally posted by ch3ch3nhow can they make a server if the patch inst out yet ?? did dice give it to them because TV2 has like 70% off all servers
TV2 probably got the server files early while DICE is tinkering with the files for us normal playersComment

Re: First 1.50 Beta Server is Up
There are often early test servers with game patches/updates that come out. Sometimes companies do all the testing internally, but having a few test servers out in "the real world" is helpful too because they simulate actual internet environments more accurately.Originally posted by ch3ch3nhow can they make a server if the patch inst out yet ?? did dice give it to them because TV2 has like 70% off all serversComment
