Battlefield Heroes Gameplay Video Blitz

Today, a variety of sites released some new gameplay videos of our favorite free cartoon shooter Battlefield Heroes. First up is GameTrailers.com with a couple of gameplay videos, one showing infantry gameplay and the other showing vehicles:

Next up, we have IGN with a total of 6 gameplay videos that show much of the same stuff as the GameTrailers ones.

If you're one of the few unlucky beta hopefuls who still didn't get a beta key after today's distribution, at least you can keep yourself busy with all these new videos before you cry yourself to sleep once more.

Have to say it looks quite polished.

And looks fun to play, but only a slight thing that there is going to be alot of lone wolfing but we will see.

Heroes is a fun game. They sent me a second key, I installed on my wife computer. Me and my son played before he went to school. I bet he still got a big smile on his face for getting his first BF kill.

There's no squads in the game and you aren't allowed to choose your spawn so it happens quite often.

Ahh damn, squads thing i don't mind so much.

But the random spawns could be good or bad depending how they worked them.
Dont suppose anyone in the beta could tell me any details on the spawning system (time takes to spawn, distance your from an objective, how close you spawn to your team mates, any other details that you wish to post) ?

i guess headshots arent going to count on this one did you see how many times he hitted the head whit the machine gun ? xD. That gun had 110 bullets and he fired like 60 and the guy was still standing

Hehe yeah... it takes forever to kill people, but that's part of its charm.

And it keeps the game from being a noob fest where everything is decided by randomness. While the weapons aren't superaccurate, it does take a bit of skill to constantly keep your crosshairs on a bunnyhopping target for 20 seconds

Visually, it looks alright (kind of like a poor man's TF2), but overall it's not really that interesting to me.

why dont they divide the number of bullets it takes to kill a guy by 10? then i might play it.it seens too much like a chore to kill someone "hold on, its gonna take me 5 minutes to kill this guy, go on without me"

Didn't the damage numbers turn a different color when he aimed for the enemy's head?

No, they change color when an enemy's health is getting low. From my experience, it isn't always reliable. I've hit people and gotten red numbers, but then when they spammed me to death it showed that they were at about half health.
People whine about snipers, but when you have to hit someone in the face three or four times to get a kill, and the soldier and gunner can just spray for a few seconds, I'd say it's balanced.

Yeah, I think I put in 8 hours or so, spread out across four characters. It's okay and fairly addicting for short periods. Once you get a character to lvl 10, the levels are really slow and you can't delete characters. So maybe if they allow more than 4 characters or deletion later, I'll play some more.
