CrimeCraft cobines parts of both MMO and shooter worlds, the elements of games like WOW and the skill and pace you usually get in third person shooters.
The multiplayer side of shooters are around since the ice age so to speak, but there is no game that combines persistency of a MMO and a shooter in the right way. Various developer teams have been working on shooter/MMO hybrids, it is tough work, but the people from Vogster think they are on the right path.
