I used to play this game till the morning and take it so seriously. I thought Id never stop playing it but I did, and I don't think there is anything that can bring it back for me.

I don't think DICE could do anything to bring me back playing this game.

I think I'm better off just waiting for BC2 to come out.

i've run into this issue as well but if it happens to you just reboot in safe mode and then reinstall, it works just fine.



it sounds like they are going to be implementing the new safedisc procedure witch doesn't require the disc in the drive but will install some "extras" on your PC. id also imagine this will run through the EA tool for the verification much like the booster packs are so if your not running the EA tool you can not play the game.

what? I don't have anything called "EA tool" installed and can run the booster packs just fine, it verifies through your gamespy account on BF2 and your EA Login on BF2142.

If you're thinking of EA Downloader, again I don't have that installed either.

In fact you don't even need the EA Downloader to reinstall the booster packs, I just run the setup for each one when I want to reinstall.

as for the patch, I really wish DICE would put up the priority on including widescreen support - but only if they intend to give proper field of view too.

Whats with this legal crap? They couldn't fix the 2142 transport bug for legal purposes; I'd kill to know what that one could possibly be. Widescreen support would really help too. Minimaster FOV does get affected on 2142's new widescreen. I just want the new map to show up.

I do hope anti air will actually be bloudy useful.

does anyone remember when they made anti-air to powerful and we all complained to back it off, well they are going to juice it up again. i predict new bitching AA threads very soon.

Changes made to both the J10 and F35B to make them more balanced. Please note that the J10 is a superior dogfighter to the F35B and as such

The F35B is a superior fighter in every way. The J10 is more manoeuverable but it's alot less leathal and less versitile then the F35b.

Also the F35B is invisible to radar, not heat-seaking missles but radar. So the F35B should have advantages in every way. Also the CM system of the J10 is not properly potrayed in BF2. It's way too effective.

Also the F35 is still shall we say in "Testing" because many things aren't completely finished. Put in an F18 Superhornet. Or a Harrier

J10 is ment to win as a better dog fighter, too many nerfs already?...

Anyone in a F35 who beats J10 pilot, is a better flyer at that exact moment in time.

That's why the F35 is a much better ground attack jet than the J10.

The J10 excels in air to air combat.

I predict good enough buff to AA; no wine threads or post hopefully or J10 hounds will be let loose. F35 get 0.3-0.6 manuvability, thats it so = noobs stop crying :/10

infact forget 1.5, my hair, bulls eye on the back, sloppy delivery to the front into a nice a nice team based push for the flag. Why cap in 10's when you can do it in 2? :)
