Well I've always said that if BC1 was on pc aswell, most people would'nt be playing BF2. It really is a decent game. I just get so pissed at the controller, that I get turned off. But sound, physics, animations and maps are great in BC1 and this is coming from a die hard PC battlefield fan. So although it's no BF3 we are prolly in for a delicious snack!

When does he say this ???, he say's it won't be a straight port , meaning it will be a port but with some different stuff than the consoles have.

They might only add a server browser, and there is your port that is not the same as the consoles.

How do you know there will not be a server browser on the consoles?

But if thats the case... wouldn't dedicated servers mean higher player counts?

Assuming that the browser isnt just browsing p2p.

What other feature do you know of in BC2 that wouldnt be good in the game?

Why would a "port" be so wrong? the 360 is not the same kind of machine "consoles" have been in the past..

the 360 is a computer, it has a harddrive that you can play the games from, its supports a usb keyboard, it could support a mouse aswell with the right software..

Im kinda confused as to how the game being developed for 360 would lead to a bad game just because of the hardware.

Thats not to say that you could dev crysis on a 360.. but is that game stable enough to turn loose on the public with 64 man servers.. with everyone getting the same game enviroment?

Could you let me in on another advanced game engine that cant run on a 360?

So it lacks alittle in ram.. it doesnt have to overhead windows and it has 3 cores just as much as your adverage mid range gaming PC.. which means a game needs to run on tho's spec's to be a viable seller.

Im sorry but the console "kiddie" generation is over.. and with the next gen of gaming it will be even farther in the history books... If the devs choose to dumb it down for "consoles" thats a choice.. Trust that a 360 could run BF2 , including 64 man servers.

I know of one 360 game that has 50 man dedicated servers while overheading xbox live.

                All maps had vehicles.

I wanted to answer this Q. before, "why is PC hardcore & console not?".

Because keyboard + mouse on the PC with a mouse sensitivity of 1-10 on-the-fly is no match for the 360 pad + 20 keyboards. Until consoles give you the same control we have, it's a different league :salute:

It's true that all maps had vehicles in BFBC, but when I played it there was one map that had only a single Humvee (the monastery one), and another map that had a single light tank that spawned only after 2 bases were destroyed (it had ruins in the middle). These maps were almost entirely infantry combat. Other small/medium maps had more vehicles, but they didn't last longer than 30 seconds most of the time (the construction map comes to mind here).

We cannot confirm, nor deny the existence of Battlefield 3, so lets talk some more about games that are coming out soon.

All I have to say is the world is looking good again. Now to kill some Japs on Wake, eat some cake, kill...whoever you kill in BadCo2, have some fun in MW2 and wait for BF3!

This was a great interview. They have really been being honest latly, and not dancing around questions. I cant wait for more information, and gameplay videos.

I do think they should go back to real clips. Maybe it is just me, but I don't like having 50 bullets in a clip and 20 bullets to kill someone. lol

Go play CoD if you want inf only, Battlefield is about vehicles and a bigger scale of war, not infantry.

BF2's server browser had a "no vehicles" filter. That wasn't by accident.

It was designed to be played however people would enjoy it...with or without (overpowered) vehicles...not just what one particular niche of players wanted.

I think the no vehicle mode was a really good idea. Imagine trying to play ground with a tank and apc shooting at you, not really fun. Its a good option having this mode. I like playing both so I would be good having that option.

im not trying to argue that mouse and keyboard isnt better
                                or better for some..

I myself was having muscular issues from mouse and keyboard for to many years..

But PC's play agaisnt PC's (mice and keyboards) thats one league
Consoles play agaisnt consoles (controllers) thats another league

As long as everybody playing the game have the same controls its relative

Mouse and keyboard vs controllers in the same game, yeah that would be hardcore vs well you understand.

Your also talking mostly about AIM) the mouse..
Controllers have the advantage when it comes to movement. Controllers are analogue in movement, Keyboards are digital and top speed is hardcoded in movement. So while controllers can move any speed you need to. Keyboards force you to move at one of 3 paces in the best games. However im pretty good at aiming with a controller these days and with the sensitivity set to max im pretty fast and accurate.
Doesnt bother me anymore. but I do understand.
