I'm still kinda confused this game has Planes (my as well call them jets) but Bad Company 2 isn't? Hell even this game has aircraft carriers...

I believe he means that it looks a lot better than it did before. The graphics were more cartoony before but they changed it to a more realistic look.

We don't know that bad company 2 doesn't have planes. That information hasn't been released yet.

Fantatis graphics are great but the game play is where it has to be. Remeber how good crysis looks and how poor the multiplayer modes are???

does anyone else think everything looks allot closer together than in BF42??

like you could shoot some1 from one beach head while on the other???

don't like the idea of that so much. I mean it would be ok if sniper could do it but if a Thompson can then it might be very bad!!

Yes, the maps have been resized now that there's only 24 players.

It's much smaller than Wake Island in BF2, too. It's quite obvious. But as Deesies said, it's smaller so that it can support 24 players comfortably.

It could just be an optical effect, making it hard for us to judge distance from just the screenshots alone.

At any rate, I think they'll probably adjust the weapon values/ranges so that you wouldn't be able to shoot too far with a Thompson on these smaller maps.

YAY Wake island, again. Or as it's know in BF1943 "Operation ReHash". This is and let's count together the 1, 2, 3, 4 ...5th incarnation of Wake island!!!
Bf1942, Bf Viet-nam (yes they updated the Pacific maps for Viet-Nam), Bf2 and 2142 all have f'ing Wake Island. Maybe I should hit myself in the head with a hammer, a good bit of brain damage might get be down to a level where I'd forget the other versions of this same map and be all "YAY, can't wait. Looks so good!"

In other words; come up with a new map. You have sooooo many Island campaigns to chose from.

OK, lets get this straight, there is a reason this is the umteenth time that we have seen a Wake map, its a good map. BF2 left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths, but before you complain try the map in some of the other forums it was featured and you'll notice you are not being raped by a J10 up the...I even loved the map in DC:salute:

Why don't you try it first before complaining? It's not like regenerating health or only 24 players that you can judge without playing it, but a map that you've only seen a few screenshots and videos of, you can't judge from that without playing.

It's a smaller version, with a destructible environment. Let's see how it works out first before complaining. :)

ok, it looks exactly the same layout as Wake, but, this is not the next major PC title, so why get your nickers in a twist? noob griefer?

cmon guys, or griefers it may seem - lots of CPU cycles look to be going to desructible scenery, guessing this is the test to ensure BF3 stands out from the rest.
