Hey it could of been worse, they could of started with Modern Warfares 4, 5 and 6, and then made Modern Warfare, 2 and 3.

    (Star wars movie sequence reference)

I believe it should be CoD: MW2, but if maybe they're taking the sour grapes rationalization and since they can't have CoD all to themselves, they won't have it at all. :p

I got the 5 and 6 thing wrong, so sue me. :p

Thing is though, by simply removing "Call of Duty" from the name of this game, sales may be lost. I know some people who simply buy Call of Duty just because it is Call of Duty.

Why does the 2 in Modern Warfare 2 look very similar to the 2 in Battlefield 2?

At this point it does not matter what they call it, the series is screwed up.

CoD3 never got released on PC, and CoD1, UO, did not get released on 360.

Basically it's everything a collector who likes chronological orders hates.

so this begs the question, since TGN has a CoD site - does this game still fall under that umbrella?

i assume so but I thought i'd ask.

Someone posted on the Network somewhere, something along along the lines of outlining that when people hear Call of Duty, they think of WWII, but when they hear Modern Warfare, they think of CoD4.
So basically questioning whether it will really affect anything at all. It only really needs Modern Warfare..

Long-term, I think it's too early to tell (depending on how different the IW and Treyarch products become)...but for now I'd say they should probably be kept together in the same COD section.

It will be interesting to see if Activision even keeps the COD brand going for the WWII game, or if that is dropped and gets re-branded completely as well as just "World at War 2".

How can you drop the CoD name completely? (ohno) MoH needs to drop the MoH b/c they're just blaspheming it's glorious past!

What would we call this site....Total War Games? lol Although, we could always adapt, it's part of technology nowadays, gotta keep moving.

Think if we did a Total War site for that game. Total Total War, lol!

But there is the RTS game Rome:Total War, Empire Total War, etc...

                                It would be total confusion
