ill just stick with valve with the CONSTANT game updates and game content add on's for free.
i just really like how they do things idk why. not just the free updates and content but steam it self is pretty nice imo. being able to chat in-game. have a web browser that works in game pretty good. they always have good 40% off deals every now and then. a few weeks ago left 4 dead was half off!! last week they were a UT3 trial for the weekend and also it was like 30%
and what do you see now. more and more companies are allowing steam to sell and host their games. cause they know that steams sales are amazing.
and one of my favorite thing about valve and steam is they dont put bull **** caps on how many times you can download YOUR copy of the game. im sick of companies putting a limit on how man times you can download your copy of a game you bought from a download to pc site. also sick of companies putting a lock on how many times you can "activate" the game. thats bull ****. i bought the game, i can install it as many times as i want. say i had a computer with 2 os's on it (i do) i have 64 bit vista and i have a dual boot of 64bit windows 7. so thats 2 on each. and say i have a family computer or a brother that is bothering the **** out of me to play it and he has a computer that can play it. thats 3. i think ea was 3 but changed it to 4 or 5 i dont recall. but still. thats 3 times. say your hard drive failed on your dual boot system. well to bad cause when you get an other hard drive to put them on each partitioned os thats 2 more and thats it.
i bought far cry 2. BOUGHT IT, and i cant activate it anymore. i had windows xp but decided to go to vista. i installed vista 32 by mistake ( figured it out after installing all my ****) so i did a fresh install of 64 bit. thats 3 times. and then i have windows 7 now on my partition i made. and when i installed it it said that i cant activate it anymore... i find this to be plain bs and steam does not do this. im not going into detail on what i have to do to get far cry 2 to activate now but you can probably figure that out on your self. pretty funny imo what the company is trying to stop is going to probably be done cause of these so called limited activations they put on one game.
