Best Story and Character shouldn't have gone to CoD4... Of the other nominees I've only played GTAIV, but it had a better developed story and character for sure.

    <3 Cpt. Price though :p

Aftermath was such a powerful scene. Becoming so attached to a character like that and then getting taken out in a nuclear blast? Yeah, that's good stuff. Personally, I really liked the CoD4 storyline.

I agree COD4 should not have won best character and story there are much more deserving games.

The nuke scene was pretty powerful really considering it's a game played not really for it's story.

LBP should have won best technical achievment not artistic. Okami on Wii/PS2 should have won that. Although the academy can only award the prizes to games that have been presented to it for rating!

Grid deserved the prize, I've really started getting into it again. It's really under rated as a driving game with all the customisation of how you can race. If your after arcade racing keep all the assists on and you can throw the cars around, if your after something a little more testing turn all that off and slide that ***** from corner to curb.

"Call of Duty Modern Warfare missed the deadline for the 2007 Awards and so Activision elected to put that game forward for this year's Awards and chose not to enter World at War this time."

The BAFTA awards are separate from all of the other ones that COD4 won last year.

Best story and character to CoD4?

Even L4D has a better story then CoD4. Yes, Aftermath was fine, but let's face it: IW tried to put YOU into the shoes of the soldier you play since you have lines.

The best story is just about stolen Russian nukes, one of them blows up and the SAS goes in to kill everyone in their sight and save the world?

You can't just give a game an award only because of Aftermath. A game with a good story should drag you into the game and want to know every little secret that isn't solved yet.
So IMO, MGS4 should have received that award.

CoD4 also got Best Gameplay, i don't really know why CoD4 got that award but oh well...

The rest of the list looks good
L4D best multiplayer: Totally agree with that, i have tons of fun with that game

Best Handheld: Professor Layton, played it a few times and i thought it was very funny to play it. I really liked that game :p

Best Game: Super Mario Galaxy. Even after a few years after it's release i still play sometimes, so i guess something has to be good about that game that just keeps me hooked!

Since this is all subjective, you guys can't expect it to exactly match your personal opinions about these games...
