I wanted to challenege anyone and everyone willing to play against me. The inspiration came to me when I realized I was spending a lot of time playing Battlefield 1943 when I had breaks at the event. Unfortunately, 1UP was down the morning of my announcement, but we still had a pretty good turnout. About 12 users showed up-- some came to watch me play and others to test their skills against (gasp) a girl. The event was meant to go on for about thirty minutes... but I got carried away and ended up playing for more than two hours! I will definitely have a Good Grief night for all 1UP users... on PC, PS3 and 360 when this game is released.
I knew this kid on my left that I was playing against was a 1UP user; when he first sat down to challenge me, the only thing he kept repeating was "you suck at shooters" (I'm saving the worst of it for the Good Grief podcast). Hmm, okay. Nothing fires me up more than people talking smack. So I tried mess with him and asked which button I press to shoot things. To make this short, I made myself sound dumb and out-of-the-loop like he thought I was. Then he disappeared after the match. Why?
