NoobTube Interviews Gordon Van Dyke

The guys over at NoobTube recently had the opportunity to interview Gordon Van Dyke about many aspects of Battlefield 1943. They also ask a question about BF3 which receives a similar response as it has in the past. It is mentioned, however, that the classic PC Battlefield gamer hasn't been forgotten. Take a look:

this interview alone explained more then all the others put together...

the looks of the game will change too (that was expected all games in pre alpha change their looks alot)

and they didnt forget the classic BF gamers. good good.

They said that months ago too. At this point, they're just words until they prove they actually mean it

EDIT: I wish they would stop calling it pre-alpha too. It's clearly way beyond Alpha stage of testing if there's a fully functioning demo to play.

If he took the time to actually stop the guy from ending his report and ensure that that we knew DICE hadn't forgotten the hardcore PC market, it's no doubt legit.

Mirrors Edge for PC is, in my opinion, a good example of that DICE haven't forgotten about the PC folks.

"This is realistic" bahbahbhah! I just saw him empty 20 bullets into a guys face before he died 5m from the target! Some one should try some realistic games such as OFP, ArmA, Project Reality mod for BF2 etc before making comments like that.

yes we can always trust DICE, but only after we understand their definition for the word "soon"

after that understanding that definition, we are all able to know when they are or aren't lying :p

oh and him saying "this is as realistic as a game can get" i was like "wat???", i love arcady battlefield and even i can tell that's nowhere near realistic ehehe

That was a pretty good interview, you can tell Gordon was kind of torn between showing he knew its not what the pc gamers wanted while still trying to sell it, glad to hear he was asking for more time to say DICE has not forgotten, I just wish they would announce it already and cut themselves some slack in interviews like this talking about other games, would kind of free them up a little.
