This seems to be the talking point in ALL of the "sneak peaks"
The designers are sticking close to the original Battlefield 1942 model, even reusing the islands of Wake, Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal as the game's three levels.
Though that's basically the same as the original Battlefield
They all claim the game is close to the original, than go on the describe a completely different game.
Player limits are capped at 12 on 12 for all matches because those are the numbers that the Frostbite engine handles best. The numbers might get bumped up on the PC, but that's not a sure thing.
wow you cant even pilot the bombers?
Really, whats the point of a WWII game if you cant pilot bombers?
Everyone in the beginning of the round is gunna run over to the damn bunker. So much for having ace pilots and having planes restricted to good pilots. Now every 12 yr old could jump in and command 3 bombers.
4 games and mods, its not even one of the maps i like the most, but i have to admit, it looks real purdy in 1943
Looks bad to me, it is cartoony, I thought we were already getting Battlefield Heroes for that... The realistic + cartoony hybrid doesn't hit well with me, plus not having 64 players and only 3 classes. We need BF3...
This is basically Battlefield Heroes on the Pacific on the Frostbite engine :shakehead:
