It doesn't matter what one group wants, sure yea everyone's opinion matter but this is a game that is meant for a lot of people as a fun game to just play and I think it's a great idea.

You have Heroes as a fun cartoon game. BF 1943 as a mini/arcade game. and BFBC2 as a full blown battlefield game with half singleplayer and half multiplayer.

I think that's where you're missing the point Manzi. For many of the people in the BF crowd, a full blown Battlefield game would be PC only and full focus on multiplayer. Look at BF2, it didn't have a singleplayer component like BFBC does, but it's by far more popular than the console game. I am glad they decided to bring BFBC2 to the PC, because it will be nice to have a more serious BF game on PC again, but it's still not what the majority of the people wanted. So to say BFBC2 is a full blown Battlefield game, some would have to disagree with you.

As for BF1943, yes it is meant as a fun game for people to just pick up and play. But it neglects the BF2 crowd that has been waiting a very long time for a true follow up. I will most likely play this new game yes, but can I see myself getting seriously into it? No. Sure it may be fun to pick up and play a few rounds, but based on what we've seen so far and how the game is set up, not my cup of tea really. I like my games to have more depth, not simply three classes, three maps, unlimited ammo, now go play. But I'll of course wait until I play it to pass any final judgments.

Why ruin the BF franchise with half-arsed games? And you know with this type of mini game there will be VERY little support.

Good post Teuvo, I was there from the beginning as well, it is very sad to see how low DICE and EA dragged the BF name.
