12 v 12 seems a bit bland to me. you are not going to have enough people to have a land, air and sea battle.

Im gonna beat up your ignorant butt.
First off. BF2142 is a remade BF2 engine. And Heroes is a Re-skinned and Rcoded (Not remade) BF2142 engine. Now this game is based off the new Bad Company engine 'Frostbite' Which is a very pretty engine, but what ive noticed with playing on the xbox, has really ****ty anti-aliasing. I think to compensate for prettieness. So im gonna assume you can turn it on, on PC. But the destructible enviroment is very impressive in BF:BC so i am really looking forward to that.

i dont see why it wouldnt, its probably just the video quality.

well UE3 doesn't/barely supports it. I think it's really weird with UE3... something about it being DX10 only and/or can only be forced via nvidia control panel and doesn't even work with ATI cards

but BF is on Frostbite not UE3, or does frostbite have anything to do with UE3?

No, it has nothing to do with frostbite. It's just that if one big-name game engine has problems, who's to say another one doesn't?

The rest....I've already played across 2 engines. Running out of ideas?

If this is the new BF for PC then Dice can suck a nut. Never buying this. Doesn`t even look good in the screens for god`s sake.

Wake Island has been done to death by Dice.

                        BF 1942 demo
                        BF 1942
                        BF Vietnam
                        BF 2 (Thanks Tomeis!)
                        BF 2142
                        And now BF 1943!

It looks to me like BF 1943 is a just a cheap attempt to cash in using content and systems they have pretty much already created.

                        Engine : already done.
Map and gameplay balance : mostly already done

My prediction : dumbed down BF 1942 that flops massively on PC. Presumably they will only bother releasing other theaters if the game is profitable. Fair enough. Trouble is Dice (or EA) and their BF expansion packs divide the community. If you don't have the expansion you can't play the maps. People get bored with a few maps of new content and the community for each little additition shrinks to nothing after a few months..

I'm really starting to get fed up with DICE, all these, booster packs, expansion packs, now prologue mini games, when is enough?

Can't they just release one full game without billion additions to it, to leech dollar after dollar from you?

I'm switching to Call of Duty more and more, they release games every two years, you know it's not going to be some expansion ****, you will get a full game on a DVD, no bullcrap, it will actually have something new in it(oh wow parachutes!) and it's fun to play.

I still love Battlefield 2, but DICE have got to get their act together, their ******** packs and expansion are splitting gamers up... I'm not buying anything of their's until they release a proper full game.

When I first saw 1943, I thought OK, 1942 remake with an updated engine and new features, only to click on the link and find out that it's kind some appetizer crap.

There are so many versions of battlefields coming out jeez.... BF:H, BF1943, BF:BC2........ **** off already!
