World in Conflict: Soviet Assault coming in March

The new owner of the World in Conflict IP, Ubisoft, has released plans to release the PC version of World in Conflict: Soviet Assault sometime in March, but Ubisoft, has not released any news of a console release date.

We had, once upon a time, expected an Xbox 360 port of World in Conflict at the end of 2007, before then-publisher Sierra (Vivendi) decided to add a PS3 version for a simultaneous autumn 2008 release.

But when Vivendi merged with Activision, World in Conflict developer Massive Entertainment found their work in the 'do not want' pile.

This is certainly good news for Massive and WiC fans alike.

I thought that Ubisoft was doing both as Swordfish also developed 50 Cent: Blood on sand and THQ is publishing it.

Oops! Looks like Ubisoft picked up rights to the console versions as well. Still no word on the release date, though.

I want this game for PS3 just to see how the console version plays out but I want to play on PC too.
