The Insurgency mod team recently posted up a new holiday update which includes info on their upcoming beta 3 release. Take a look:
The holidays are here and we all have a bit more time to enjoy playing games, be with our loved ones and catch up on a lot of things...so why not on Insurgency Beta 3?
We haven't brought you news about it for quite a while, so it's time to show you something: one of our new character models. We're currently in the process of creating 4 totally new character models for each team. They are being created with customization in mind, so that they can use a variety of accessories. The team of artists behind this task are CrazyMatt and Guntharf, from SkyMonkey Studios.
We are sure that you will be as happy as we are with the results of their work - so we have decided to release a special Insurgency Beta 3 USMC Model Desktop Background and some additional renders. To complete the holiday's media release, we have also included a short video showcasing some of the improved and new player sounds for 2.x (released with the previous update) and a preliminary image of the new SKS model (by Pete). The behavior of this weapon is also being redone for Beta 3.
