A very eventful year is now almost behind us. In 2008, we announced BattleForge and presented the game to the fans and media on conventions around the world. In November, we finally launched the beta, and we'd like to thank you all for the very detailed and valuable beta feedback you gave us in the past days and weeks. We hope, of course, that you'll continue supporting us in the coming weeks before the release to help us further optimize the game.
We'll use the time until the release for further fixes as well as the integration of new features in the game:
This week, we've already released an extensive patch just in time for Christmas. In addition to the "Chronicle", in which you learn a lot about the story of BattleForge, the patch also includes new cards: Dreadcharger and Death Ray represent Shadow, while Mark of the Keeper and Grimvine are two new Nature cards in the game. As always, you can find the complete patch notes in the forum.
In the next weeks and months, we'll keep updating the beta servers frequently with content patches. And this is what you can expect in the future:
Rankings for 1v1, 2v2 and collected card upgrades: read in-game who's at the top of the rankings and compare your own rank with your friends.
Replays: watch your latest matches in the replays, analyze your opponent's strategy and download the replays of top players.
Spectator Mode: watch PvP matches or scenarios live as a spectator
Sneak-a-Peek Feature: check out the deck of allied players, or ask any other players whether you can sneak a peek at their decks.
But we're also busy outside the game, as we're currently overhauling the website and will present it to you soon in a new design. Just wait and see…
