    Total Gaming Network Visits DICE

    <a href="http://www.totalgamingnetwork.com/page.php?do=dicevisit" target="_blank"><img src="http://images.totalgamingnetwork.com/images/dicenews.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>

The Total Gaming Network is very excited to present the community with our latest article today. Our staff member Idaeus recently had the opportunity to visit DICE studios out in Stockholm, Sweden. During his visit, he was able to interview key members of DICE including Barrie Tingle, associate producer for Battlefield 2 and 2142. Here is the intro to the article:
DICE has been doing well over the last few years, and their success is obvious as I enter the studio. The building has the nicest view in Stockholm, and DICE is at the top floor. Everything seems a bit too pristine to be touched; for example, the temporary Christmas decorations must’ve cost a fortune. I’m greeted by Parker, community manager for all Battlefield games except Heroes. We’re heading straight to the conference room where I’ll get to interview Barrie Tingle, associate producer for Battlefield 2 and 2142.

This introduction is just the tip of the iceberg for this article, which includes some exclusive information about Battlefield 2 and 2142. To check out all of the new info, click the link below for the full article:

try the PR and other mods maps, they wipe the floor in terms of quality.

One interesting new feature is some boxes have fish inside, so when they explode, fish fly out and move around on the ground. Just when we thought Battlefield 2 couldn’t get any better, now we have moving fish in a box...
ehhhh, that is not a new feature, it has been in BF2 from the start, just the "Fish Box" is not used very much in vBF2 maps but it is there in places, its most likely just been used loads in this map.

Here is the Fishingbox in question.

Now if I tell it to explode in the editor, you will see the fish.

Just looking in Songhua_Stalemate staticobjects.con I found 7, so they are there in vBF2 and I know I've used many on my maps too.

I'll give it a proper go when it comes out and I'll make my mind up then but looking at the screens it dont look very impressive for me.

If you want a cool setting and new content, play the mods.

Yes but the new thing is that the fish moves.
