Uncharted 2 - Will Eat Your PS3 Up

Eurogamer has found out some new info today on the upcoming PS3 exclusive game. Uncharted 2. Your PS3 will never work so hard to chomp through this game. Check it out:
Naughty Dog has said Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will come close to using all of the PS3's power, after the first game used just "30 to 40 per cent".

That's according to the Game Informer reveal (read by a poster on the Gametrailers forum), which provides the first details and images of the sequel.

We're told to expect a brand new female lead in the shape of Chloe Frazer, who'll be played by Claudia Black from Stargate SG-1 and Farscape. She may use a rocket launcher, as suggested by cut-scene footage.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, revolves around Nathan Drake finding the lost ships of Marco Polo. Action adventure will still very much be the focus, and Naughty Dog has made significant improvements to combat.

Apparently melee will be more "dynamic", and Drake will be able to shoot while running, climbing and hanging, as well as simultaneously move and aim from behind cover.

Firefly composer Greg Edmonson will return to score the game, and Nolan North will once again provide the voice and movements for hero Nathan Drake.

Naughty Dog apparently refused to comment on whether original heroine Elena or grizzled friend Sully will make comebacks.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be unveiled properly on Sunday at the 2008 Video Game Awards. Expect more information to tumble out then.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was released at the end of 2007 and is one of the best games on PlayStation 3. It can be picked up as part of the PS3's budget Platinum range for around GBP 20. Read More...

CVG has also found out some new facts today about the game they are listed below.
    * There's a new girl named Chloe Frazer. GI asked about Elena and Sully's return but they had no comment.
    * The story is about looking for the ships that Marco Polo "lost" while returning home to Italy.
    * Melee combat is more dynamic now.
    * They mentioned they were using only 30% of the PS3's power with Drake's Fortune and are planning to use nearly 100% with Among Thieves.
    * A demo was shown to GI with Drake going through a city, and he's stealthily taking out guards and escaping the city.
    * Nolan North returns to be Drake and Chloe Frazer is played by Claudia Black (Stargate SG-1, Fargate).
    * The Sixaxis mechanics were ditched for such things as throwing grenades.
    * One of the weapons revealed is a rocket launcher that Chloe uses.
    * There are no load screens.
    * The score is being composed by Greg Edmonson (same guy from the first one).
    * Weapons can be used in any stance (running, behind cover, hanging, climbing a wall, etc.).
    * You can now move while aiming behind cover. Read More...

I wonder why they took out the Sixaxis nade throwing. No load screens is a plus

It was probably in the original because Sony desperately needed to justify it's existence really. It was okay a bit fiddly to be fair.

Sixaxis is fun when it's used very rarely, they pulled it off well in Ratchet and Clank, mixes thing's up a bit.

Yea, R&C uses it well. But I could not have had as many good nade throws as I did without the Sixaxis.
