I didn't notice these little bugs besides the menu's being very laggy when trying to find a game to join. A patch is needed, but I really hope they address the tanks being blown up with jeep issues, and tanks taking damage by driving over rough terrain, I mean the physics are just way off in that game. I don't know what people are talking about the jets, I don't think they are overly powerful, except helicopters don't stand a chance. I bet that's true in the real world though. I hope Bad company 2 is like a re-make of battlefield 2 and does the whole custom squad thing and commander.

Fun game, but I hope this patch isn't just little bug fixes. A lot of those things never effected me. The thing that pissed me off the most was that tanks would receive damage when driving over rough terrain, and the fact that driving a jeep in to a tank hurt the tank so much.

The main difference would be speed. AA units are incredibly slow. With the hummer version you could sight and hunt aircraft and choppers by following them down the map. Armoured AA vehicles are unable to engage in this way. Once they attack, or are sighted by a commander, they are sitting ducks because they can't reposition fast enough to regain surprise. Skilled fighter pilots can dive from high altitude and wipe out almost anything before it can lock on to destroy the attacking jet.

With a humvee you could attack and miss, as rockets certainly can do, then move enough of a distance away to act a second or third time.

The second difference is in numbers. I'm not suggesting replace the current AA. I'm suggesting swap out 1-2 cars, buggy or standard humvee's with the avenger model, or a technical with the same idea behind it.

AA should represent a deadly threat to air, at most to the vast majority of skilled pilots its an annoyance that is easily dealt with with either chaff, afterburners, or exotic chopper manouvers.

messing with the jets will just annoy, instant locks will also annoy and make it unfair. But increasing the mobility and number of AA to the point that an aa attack is honestly unpredictable makes it a lot harder and more interesting for pilots, and a lot fairer for the people on the ground.

At the end of the day, when the servers i go to have a kill limit, aka, 40 kills then you have to leave the jet. You know the game is unreasonably balanced in the favour of airpower.
