Call of Duty: World at War - Profile Backup Tool

Over at CoD:HQ, [PSI]SnowWhite has introduced to the CoD community, a tool that can backup your CoD:WaW profile in no time! Definitely check this out! Some people have been having their profiles reset, and of course the dreaded entire system crash where you lose all of your files. I always manually back mine up, but this tool is quick and easy. Just how I like it...
Call of Duty: World at War - Profile Backup

Since days now (actually since day 1) Treyarch has some issues with their WaW Master Server. So it can happen, when you log in, your Rank - Weapons - Challenges data is gone. And once lost you can never get it back !

How to make your own back up of your profile so if it happens (again) you won't loose it all ?

*** One Click Profile back up ***

One click on this .bat file automatically places a back up of your COD World at War player profile into
your Documents folder in case you loose it or have to re-install the game.

There is one for XP and one for Vista. Both are in the zip. ReadMe with directions included.

TotalGamingFiles is gladly hosting this file, download it here.

Thanks to Whiskey for finding this!

    Get this tool now!

Well...I guess I should've used this tool because I just opened up COD:WW and all my **** was reset. Granted I was only level 25, but I don't play too often so it was nice to be there and have some unlocks. It's safe to say I'm pretty pissed off right about now. I wonder why this wasn't a problem in COD4 yet it is in COD5...

It was a problem in COD4 right at the beginning. People who played on unranked servers were getting all their stats/ranks reset when coming back to ranked ones. This was one of the priority fixes in the very first COD4 patch: http://planetcallofduty.gamespy.com/...s.Detail&id=26

Although the current problem isn't exactly the same, it is pretty coincidental, so it's likely related in some way.

Don't be all technical. I just wanted you to get angry with me!

And a patch has been released now for COD:WW, with no fix to this problem...isn't one of the main reasons people play the game to unlock new weapons and have stats? Hmmmm...

(I'm quite negative right now...like omg I'm back up to level 5!1!!11(

Well, the patch released for COD:WW was a day-1 patch, before they had any user input, so they didn't know about this issue yet. COD4 put out their patch about 10 days after the game was released, and I think the stats fix was the only one in it...they rushed it out because the resetting problem was so blatant and affecting so many people.

I'm not sure if anyone has tracked the reset problem in COD:WW yet...seems fairly random from what I can tell. But if Treyarch knows about it, it seems likely they'll fix it as soon as they can.

In the meantime, just hop on a powerlevel server for a couple of hrs, and you'll quickly get back to the rank you had. Once you "recover" what you lost, you can go back to "regular" servers to rank up legitimately.
