Looking back at Super Mario Sunshine, Nintendo realized something went wrong. Whether it was the amazing difficulty, lack of depth, or all around unfinished feel to the game it felt like it could have been better. Super Mario Galaxy is here to replace Sunshine in every way, even prompting Reggie Fils-Aime to call it the "spiritual sequel" to Super Mario 64. Is this an amazing adventure or just a poor plumber lost in space?
You will notice that the main draw of the title is space itself and the ability to see what you can do with the power of gravity. Most levels center around a group of small spherical planets which you must traverse using different gravitational pulls. Seeing where different planets take you can become a game in itself.
