I'm having an error that seems pretty common on the cod forums. "Unhandled exception" No fix for it yet :X I'm waiting so patiently!

When I find out/Fix the issue of the game crashing as soon as I launch it I may join the server r :P.

EDIT - FOR Vista issue on initial startup.

The fix to this issue try this:

1- Go to Control Panel
2- The click on "Hardware and Sound"
3- Click on "Sound"
4- Doble click on "speakers"
5- go to the Advanced tab
6- Set the default format to "24 Bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)"
7- Thats it!

It was easy to crack CoD4 to get to lvl 55... I'm not surprised if people have done that here as well

According to the readme...your vid card is the bare minimum, and your processor is actually below the min spec. That could be the problem.

Damn, you must be the only ones playing. Something like 70% of the people can't even play it due to the unhandled exception error. I've got the latest drivers and Dx and still doesn't work. I hope it isn't another FFOW game.

Umm, no. It's the opposite. Every time a game or demo comes out, there are lots of posts from people who can't play, but they are still a small minority...it just seems like it's "everyone".

We go through this with almost every game. Most people can play just fine, and most problems are usually solved by simple driver updates or disabling conflicting programs.

If you're getting the "Unhandled Exception" error, go here and try these steps:

Loads and loads of people are playing. Unfortunately most of the server owners have figured out how to enable hardcore -.-

Unfortunately, none of those fix the issue. But I did change the settings on the audio properties listed on that fix and now am stuck at the black screen. Halfway there.

CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 3.2 GHz
