Re: COD: World at War Beta Preloading Now
Just to be clear on this, we will be able to get a decryption key even if we didn't use the DLM or are a subscriber, correct?
Edit: Ah crap, somebody on the callofduty.com forums says no.

If u've dl'd the file without DLM u cant decrypt the file and have to redownload the whole thing again.
DLM:
Code: Select all
Beta:
Code: Select all
http://www.fileplanet.com/193625/190...ar-Beta-Client
Instructions:
You have to download and install the DLM FIRST, then start the beta download. U dont need to be a subscriber, all u need is an account and its free to register.
After the beta is downloaded u dont have to leave the DLM on however its recommended to wait atleast 1hr after dl to be sure it tries to unlock it. If u dont have time to wait just start it manually next time u start your computer and it'll try to unlock it then.Comment

I have been downloading using the DLM for about 8 hours now and its going at 9kbps
When i was downloading it straight from the site i was getting 300kbps ??
Ah well, patience is a virtue.Comment

Re: COD: World at War Beta Preloading Now
Great, you guys broke teh fileplanetz.
I'd suspect that the slow speeds are due to the servers being overloaded with downloads and attempts right now, so just hang in there. If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say the codes we need to play probably won't come out until sometime after lunch Treyarch-time (Pacific Time Zone). Again, that's just my guess, as video game companies on the West Coast often don't really get rolling until mid-morning.Comment

Re: COD: World at War Beta Preloading Now
Depends on whether Fileplanet gives out codes to manually unlock the encrypted file you downloaded. Some people think they won't (which doesn't make sense, but with FP you never know).Originally posted by Evil Spongebobim sure you wont need the DLM one
With the DL Manager, it's all automatic as long as you leave it running.
Worst case, even if you can't use the FP downloaded file, there should be some fast mirrors up reasonably quickly where you can pull the file down from again.Comment
gonna be awesome!
