Battlefield: Bad Company Sequel Planned?

According to an article in Variety, EA Games president Frank Gibeau recently mentioned that a "sequel idea is planned" for Battlefield: Bad Company.

Some of you may just want to find out if there's any hot news, so here are the things revealed in these interviews that you might not already know, though honestly, I don't think any of this is actually surprising:

Gibeau says there is a "sequel idea planned" for "Army of Two" and also for "Battlefield: Bad Company." Which is as close to saying there will indeed be an "Army of Two 2" ("Army of Three?" "Army of Two Squared?") and "Bad Company 2" as we'll probably get until the sequels are officially announced.

Bad Company was a great and strong BF console game and im not surprised to hear this.

Bad Company is a great game, and it's good that it is getting a sequal. It deserves it. :)

Now, wait for BFH to be released or the BF2 patch and I think they'll announce BF3 is coming. Patience my friends... and there are always other games to play in case DICE is just screwing with us :p

A pretty good game (if you have a brother and like uprgrading weapons that is, which is what i have)

They have confirmed that they are working on a game for the "hardcore PC gamers", they just haven't announced what it is. I bet you it's BF3 though.

but, in his defence alex,
it has ben years for a decent pc release from the battlefield series!! TRUTHFULLY heroes does not count, neither does bad company,
BATTLEFIELD IS A PC GAME not a console game!!!!:salute:

now were being left out again..so this time they made a few console only games and left us pc guys with heroes...so after wating a few years lets give them a cartoon battlefield that will shut them up...that is just a beautiful strategy!!!

even the guys at battlefield pod cast and getting restless about this!!!
they use to be so optimistic about everything ...and now its fadeing..

i for one I'm getting angry and frustrated also...
one can only put up with so many years of bull$hit man..:shakehead:
one can only have so much patience without being given some actual factual data from the source ya know.

the funny part is this game has ben prolonged so long, I've already bought 3 different new graphics cards for bf3,
that have outdated themselves in the time its taken them, to figure out, what they wana do.
i said to myself oh ill get this now, and it will be a great upgrade for bf3...
and then i did it again..
now i'm not gunna buy the dam 4870, until i see when the game will be released or something..

and I'm 100% sure I'm not the only one who did that..


see alex the years are literally going by,
and ea is building other games, and they are in fact deflecting from what we really want,
its ben said, time and time again, in interviews, were not going to comment on bf3, because its like a unicorn...you know the uncaptureable creature that will never be seen nor found..

well i hope you read this without discrimination and with a little compassion for us games alex...


..........all in all i guess its great for the army of 2 fans....

I for one think that the console crap doesn't deserve the name of Battlefield, but ye that's what I think.

Imho Battlefield is a 'tactical' shooter, and not some zerg/blazing gun fest I've seen in Bad Company's trailers. Could be wrong tho :)

I thought they announced that although they are working on a hardcore PC game, its not actually called BF3, meaning it could be vastly different.
