Forgotten Hope 2 Mod Update - Fog of War

The Forgotten Hope 2 mod team has posted up a new update today showing off some new weaponry. Take a look:

Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. We have gone without updates for a few weeks now, but we are still working hard to finish the third map for our 2.15 patch. Today though, we have some great new renders for you, but first, we would like to welcome the latest addition to our development team. Kev4000 will be helping us by coding vehicles and weapons. Welcome Kev4000!

The first renders we have for today are of a much requested (primarily by one person) piece of German equipment. I am talking of course about the Lafette Tripod for the MG34 and MG42. This tripod was modeled by McGibs and skinned by Toddel.

Today's second render is of the German Nebelwerfer 41, made by K96.

Well FH2 has a few bugs but given how complex the mod really is and how hard BF2 is to mod, I'd say they've done a really good job.

The ironsights bug where the screen flickers is damn annoying though and to fix it you basically need to alter your vBF2 files... which kinda sucks.

But kudos to the developers for the great mod :thumbsup:

Well im sorry that the FH Devs are giving it their all and making a fantasic mod instead of making a half baked POS because u think their trying to hard.
And too buggy? for a first release i would say that its pretty ****ing good.

I would be playing it right now if it was faster paced, and didnt have all those stupid effects lagging you out. I'll give the next release another shot, but if it plays like the last release, i wont be sticking with it.

Im not condeming them, they do damn nice work and go to great details, some of the best artists in the modding scene. But the gameplay choices they've made is just too slow for my liking.
I wont play an FPS that has visual effects blurring my vision or messing with my ability to control my character. Main reason i play BF2 infantry only, because you rarely get that, way fewer explosions with those shader effects. And even that is almost too much.

The pace is very slow yes... But that is also part of it's charm somehow. It's a little bit like PR but in a WW2 setting and without ridiculous spawn times :p

I didn`t say that it sucks! My point is that considering it`s been in developement for several years it doesn`t appear to be as polished and seems to lack content,compared to other mods.
