    CoD:WW Beta VERY Soon!

From 402's blog under the "What I'm doing" section: click here
Going to finally download the CoD:WaW beta tonight, now that I'm feeling better. Send me an invite if you're playing too...

And from JD at callofduty.com forums: click here
    Hey guys,

I am aware you have discovered a few people involved in the MP BETA this evening. We are currently testing out the backend infrastructure, to ensure this thing hits silky smooth =).

More information will be made available to you guys shortly, and the BETA will be available to the public very soon, I promise!

    Regards,
    -JD

So, it looks like it's on its way.

Thanks to Whiskey for finding this!

    On BashandSlash they are reporting:
    October PC Demo

I'm getting tons of IM's everyday about the October PC demo they promised. Community insiders tell me that Treyarch has not gotten around to it yet. This would explain the fact that the Community event this month was cancelled. Word has trickled down to me that they have finished one of the console games (rumours are that it's probably the PS3) and have begun to ship it.

My guess is that next up will be getting things in order for the XBox and THEN their attention might focus on the PC folks.

That news however, was posted I believe, without seeing fourzerotwo's page as it was posted Wed Oct 8th.

Do you know how it will work to get a PC beta key? Iv read over at the CoD.com(HQ) that if you have been with the HQ from the start and was part of the CharlieOscerDelta.com you would be 1 of the 1st to be sent the key be E-mail, is the case??:salute:

The Xbox 360 Multiplayer BETA is Imminent!

We have begun some back-end stress-testing for our Friends & Family Online BETA and anticipate opening the floodgates shortly. That means you will start seeing some gamertags online playing the CoD:WW MP BETA. Please read our BETA FAQ for all the details on how our BETA key distribution will take place.

Now, I wanted to spend this week’s blog introducing you to the BETA….

                  The What:
It is a Multiplayer BETA that will be played over Xbox Live. It contains 3 maps: Castle, Makin, and Roundhouse. The included gametypes for the BETA are: Capture the Flag, War, Team Deathmatch, Pickup TDM (no parties allowed), and Free-For-All. We currently have a level-lock set to Level 11 in the BETA so that we don’t let all our cats out of the bag too early.

                  The Where:
In the comfort of your own living room, on your Xbox 360 console over Xbox LIVE. This is a worldwide BETA, so regardless of where your living room is located, you’ll have a chance to get your game on a month early!

                  The How:
There is a limited number of BETA tokens available (again, see FAQ). When/if you receive one, you can enter it into the Xbox LIVE Marketplace (the furthest-left blade on your Dashboard) under the “Redeem Code” menu. Once entered, you’ll be prompted to download the Call of Duty: World at War MP BETA (~800 MB). Gamers in the U.S. can register on CallofDuty.com, or, pre-order the game at GameStop for a chance to receive a BETA key.

                  The Why:
Treyarch has been working hard for the last two years to re-define what it means to play a WWII game and we’re excited to give our fans a chance to have a sneak-peak at what we’ve been up to.

And of course, the infamous “When”:
The Xbox 360 Multiplayer BETA is imminent. We are currently testing the back-end and plan to send out our BETA tokens to the public shortly. If I can give you a hint, I’d keep my eye on CallOfDuty.com over the next few days ;-).
In case you didn’t catch the other 879,233,103 references to the FAQ in this blog, I’ll reiterate – please please please please, please please PLEASE read our BETA FAQ before commenting or posting on the CallOfDuty.com forums. Our boards are currently inundated with the same repetitive questions about the BETA that are answered in our FAQ.

I hope to see you on the battlefield shortly, and look forward to the all-out war that shall commence on November 11th when the game hits shelves in North America! (Nov. 14 for Europe).

                  Regards,
                  -JD

The way I understood it was, the PC beta hasn't even been released. It will probably be the last version of the game for the beta to be released.

That would be tomorrow. Hopefully, the PC is released very soon after if not tomorrow. Although, with consoles, they can sometimes have more network problems, hence the importance of getting the beta out for the consoles. They THINK they understand the way online PC gaming works at least. As long as they patch any probs that come up, it's fine with me.

                          For X360:
If you haven't pre-ordered, go to CallofDuty.com and register. If you had an account at charlieoscardelta.com make sure you type that information in instead of creating a new account - this will give you VIP access and a better chance of getting a key. After you register, you just have to wait until you get an email with a key. You are not guaranteed a key, but don't be worried if you don't get one right away, they're going to release the keys in several batches to control the amount of players on XBL.

                          For PC:
There hasn't been any real details about how the PC Beta is going to work, but I would suggest registering at Callofduty.com just incase. My guess is that it will be an open beta and downloadable just like a demo.
