Re: Leaked Call of Duty: World at War Perk List

This list looks a lot more likely to be real than the one that was first "leaked" a couple months back.

This one actually has a perk that would be the counter to Martyrdom that Treyarch hinted at: "Toss Back (resets fuse on tossing back enemy grenade)".

Not saying that you can trust leaked info, but I have noticed the closer to launch date of a game, the more accurate the leaked info tends to be. Some information is even leaked on purpose for hype.

I really hope that these are real, most of them sound pretty solid and will be quite enjoyable. I especially love the addition of vehicle perks, that'll make things interesting.

I don't have any problem with it. From what I've read so far, you'll only be able to revive someone if both you and them have that perk enabled...so some people will have it trying to play "medic" on everyone, but a lot of players will stick to other perks from that class/level. I think it might also be fun to shoot someone to put them on the ground as bait, then also have a chance to take out the "medic" who comes along trying to save them.

The more I look at this list, the more counter-perks I see, and I like the way many of these have been balanced within the same group/level. People are going to have to make some tougher choices, and put more thought into the classes they create.

I don't see the problem with a 'revive' perk, quite a few other popular games have the same thing. Look at BF2 and 2142, both have a revive kit which instantly brings anyone back to life, and nobody complains about that.

Really does seem likely to be real IMO. We'll wait and see.

P.S. Oh yes, and me want flamethrower.

Fixed that for you. It fits in TDM and domination well. Maybe even HQ. Also, with the squad play, it will help promote teamwork, which a lot of people complained was lacking in CoD4.

Also, lets assume this is an accurate list. The Reconnaissance perk says it shows tanks and artillary on the map. I dont recall anyone mentioning artillary pieces? I know there will be artillary drops when you get a 5 kill streak, but actual points to capture?

I agree about the counter-perks, and that they are a good thing. This game seems to shaping up to have the same great mp of CoD4, but even more balance/counters and better teamwork.

                          I'll do you one better.

I can see the revive perk being used to "flush" out an enemies position. Basically, one of your teammates can purposely expose himself to draw the enemies fire while the rest of your squad follows discretely behind. This tactic will prove extremely useful for scrims!!

Oh god treyarch is ruining CoD!

Unless there's a PAM mod coming out quick, I think this might just ruin it for me, no matter how good the game is otherwise.

I never liked the CoD4 perks in the first place, and now they make them even worse... And it doesn't matter if that revive perk is best suited for TDM or similar, people will still use it in S&D and Sab and I'm afraid there will be a very small amount of respectable servers without these perks (same with CoD4, it's ridiculously hard to find a server that disallows stuff like GL, 3x nades or clays. And if it does, there usually no admins online anyway)

Have fun playing it for those that will enjoy it anyway. I know I most likely won't. I just liked the way the old CoDs were, without perks and hardcore.

I am not against change, it was good that CoD4 was a modern combat game, but this is completely a step in the wrong direction. Please prove me wrong and I'll love you.

EDIT: OH **** there actually are claymores. I'm out.

I understand your view of not liking them and such. However, with the insanely HUGE success of CoD4, I would think they (the devs) would want to do more changes/things as they did with CoD4. CoD4 was the best selling game last year, and it had only been out a couple of months. @_@ I was not a fan of CoD moving to the modern setting, and I'm glad they're going back to WWII, but I have enjoyed CoD4 and obviously their decision was wise as their pockets and thousands of fans also agree.
