PES if you want an authentic soccer game experience.
FIFA if you want to play for the sake of it.

I'd like to play for the sake of it, i value enjoyment more over realism when it comes to sports games.

but i will still give the pes demo a try.

Looks good. I think FIFA overtook PES when they gave the ball it's own physics in FIFA 07, and it's just getting better and better since.

Yea, PES 08 was disappointing. It's a great game, i just expected more change....

Problem with PES08 is that I still haven't worked out how to curl the ball in flight.

And that sometimes a lot of button/key mashing is needed to do the tricks and feints, which my lame laptop keyboard can't do (max is 3 keys at once).
