New World at War Blog at Club IGN

It appears that a new blog series is being started over on Club IGN for Call of Duty: World at War. This latest blog is just an introduction from community manager Josh Olin. Check it out:
Hello and welcome to my developer diary. I want to thank IGN for giving me the chance to bring you inside the world of Treyarch Studios for a little while to give readers a glimpse at how we make games.

I’ll start by telling you a little about myself, (I hope you’ll reciprocate in the Comments of this blog and tell me a bit about you too). My name is Josh “JD” Olin, and I’m the Community Manager at Treyarch (that’s me on the tank). I live in Santa Monica, California, but was born and raised in upstate New York. My favorite number is 2020, which is suggestive of my typical online screenname, JD_2020. I have been playing Call of Duty since its inception (pre-ordered CoD1) and have run several Call of Duty gaming communities over the years, which is actually how I got into the industry.

The fact that they have a guy for Multiplayer Design Director makes me happy alone lol. Too many games always focus on sp sp sp, and make mp an after thought. This series is one that always delivers an intense, amazing, albeit short, but awesome sp experience and then an mp experience that keeps you hooked until the next game. And I'd rather have a short sp that is great, than a long one that drags, and also added, I'd rather have the short sp and get the great mp as they seem to have done with each game. :salute:
